Windscreen wipers or windshield wiper is a device used to wipe rain and dirt from a windscreen. Almost all automobiles are equipped with windscreen wipers, often by legal requirement. What should you do when the two wipers of your car’s windscreen are not working at all? It is easy. First, check whether the wiper motor is working. Pull both the wiper blades off the windscreen into an open position and turn on the wipers. Monitor the wipers reaction. If the wipers do not move and there is no sound of the motor turning, then check whether the fuse has blown. Find out the fuse box and check the wipers’ fuse. The wipers usually have a separate fuse and the cover of the fuse box will indicate the correct fuse to check.
If the fuse working properly and the motor still not working, then mostly likely could be the motor is faulty or it may be an electrical problem. Get an auto electrician to assist you if this happen. Anyway, if there is sound of the motor turning but the wipers remain static, then the linkage may have either got disconnected or loose and you will need to know how to get to that mechanism to get it sorted out.
